Environmental policy

 

  • Stockholm Globe Arenas shall actively work for the business to be operated in a resource-minded way with the least possible negative influence to the environment with a minimum of discharge into the air, ground and water.
  • Consideration to the environment shall be a natural part of our work with private persons, companies and partner.
  • We shall achieve continuous improvement through education of our work colleagues and continuous evaluation of the environmental work.
  • We shall fulfil the existing environmental regulations.

There has been no smoking allowed at 
Stockholm Globe Arenas since June 1, 2005. 

Stockholm Globe Arenas works actively with waste sorting.

Another example of our environmental work is the solar cell roof at Hovet, which helps towards an environment-friendly electricity supply for the arenas.

Stockholm Globe Arena participated also in 2011 in the important global Earth Hour campaign to show our support for the important climate and energy issues. During the past year we have intensified our work on environmental issues. Our owners, AEG, is the first company in our branch to launch a global environmental plan for how we as a company can act more responsibly and contribute to sustainable development. On March 26 between the hours of 20:30 to 21:30 (Earth Hour) the lights on Ericsson Globe were put out, along with other lighting in the area that could be extinguished without compromising security. Read more about Earth Hour here ! Earth Hour on YouTube !
