Globen becomes the Ericsson Globe
Ericsson is our business partner from February 1 2009 for a period of ten years. This means, among other things, that Ericsson has purchased the name rights for Globen.
In December Ericsson invited Stockholmers to give their opinions. What should Globen’s new official and international name be? The suggestions flowed in: creative, subtle and clever. Many thought the name should be internationally practicable. Since simplicity is often the best solution, the deciding vote went to Ericsson Globe. A new era has begun for our beautiful, round arena!
