Christian Olsson is looking forward to competing at GE Galan for the first time in three years. In 2007 Christian won the triple jump at GE Galan with 17,26.
The world's best in triple jump during the 2000's has had a number of injuries during the past years. Christian Olsson is currently in South Africa, preparing for his comeback.
Christian Olsson will meet tough competition at the Ericsson Globe on February 10:
- Phillips Idowo from Great Britain.
- David Giralt, Cuba.
- Alexis Copello, Cuba.

The GE Galan programme
Women: 60 m, 400 m, 1 500 m, 5 000 m and high jump.
Men: 400 m, 800 m, 3 000 m, 60 m hurdles, long jump, triple jump and triathlon (long jump, 60 m hurdles and 400 m).
Youths: Relay race 4x200 m for boys and girls 13 years of age.
The gala starts at 19.30. Pre-competitions from 16.00 with B finals and national disciplines.
Sixtyone teams will be participating in the very popular relay race for 13-year-old boys and girls.

Nicklas Wiberg got his international breakthrough last summer with a 7th placement at the World Championship in Berlin. In the GE Galan triathlon Nicklas meets (among others) the world's best in dicathlon, Trey Hardee from USA.
Dayron Robles from Cuba was fastest in the world last year with 13.04, 110 m hurdles. Robles won the Olympic gold in Beijing in 2008. David Oliver from USA was next best in the world in hurdles in 2009 with 13,09. He won the Olympic bronze medal in 2008.

GE Galan is one of the very best indoor athletics galas in the world. In 2009 Meseret Defar from Ethiopia set a new world record in 5 000 m before 10 000 cheering spectators at the Ericsson Globe. Since the first indoors gala in 1990 spectators have experienced no less than seven world records and 30 Swedish records on the fast tracks of the Ericsson Globe.
