Before your visit
Entrance 2 opens at 15.30 and entrance 6 at 16.00. Our bars and restaurants offers a great deal of variety and are open from 15.30 (SkyView Café) till 22.00. The gala starts with pre races at 17.00, the inauguration starts at 19.25 and the event ends at app 21.50. The coat check is located near entrance 2 & 6. There is no age limit to this event. The spectators at Ericsson Globe have experienced quite a number of excellent performances. In 2011, Angelica Bengtsson became a favourite, setting three Swedish records and three junior world records in pole vault. In 2012 Russina Jelena Isinbajeva impressed us by improving her own pole vault world record to 5,01.
Star meetings in 2013
The XL-galan 2013 will present a number of the best athletes in the world. Among others we will see three of the Swedish athletes that were most convincing during the summer of 2012. The double Junior World Champion Angelica Bengtsson, Michel Tornéus with a fourth placement at the Olympic Games and the European Champion Moa Hjelmer will be up against world class opposition at Ericsson Globe on 21 February.
Among the international stars we can mention Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (Jamaica), Galen Rupp (US), Ayanleh Souleiman (Djibouti)!

Over the years 14 world records and 33 Swedish national records have been set in this high class competition

The XL-Gala starts at 19.25 och and runs until approximately 2200. Pre-races start at 16.45.

Women: 60 m, 400 m, 1 500 m, 3 000 m, high jump, pole vault.
Men: 400 m, 800 m, 3 000 m, 60 m hurdles, long jump.
Youth:
Relay 4x200 m for boys and girls aged 13.
